Civil weddings
It is possible between two adults of any religion and almost any nationality. It is held by the Mayor or Vice Mayor and it can be anywhere on the island – rocks, yards, outdoors areas of hotels, windmills, beaches, houses, boats, you name it – but not in a church!
Carefully prepared paperwork and registration approved by the Greek Authorities is needed so as to be recognized and accepted everywhere in the world.
